NAB 2009
Post/Production World Conference
The 2009 Post/Production World Conference at NAB in Las Vegas is being held April 18-23. Produced by Future Media Concepts, this year's conferences are bigger and better than ever before. With five full days of sessions in eleven parallel training halls and 230 unique sessions, attendees are bound to find tracks that can help them grow their business and improve their skills. Two new tracks have been added this year including The Evolution of News: ENG Workshop and The Production of Sports Workshop.
If you've been putting off being certified for Final Cut Pro, Motion, Color, After Effects or Photoshop-now is the time to take advantage of the ultimate training and prep for the certification exams. Join a small group of professionals for hands-on training for the app that most interests you. For most certification training, an exam is offered at the conclusion of the session.
Two additional workshops being produced by Future Media Concepts are the Director of Photography Workshop and the Producer/Director Workshop. The DP Workshop is designed to explore tapeless acquisitions techniques using both disk drives and card-based media, field production techniques and today's leading camera technology. The Producer/Director Workshop is designed to explore new techniques for planning and managing successful video and new media projects. Screenwriting, budgeting, and proposal writing are covered as well as project and location management.
Of course you can't go to Vegas and not have some fun?
The NAB & FMC Content Creators Party at Revolution Lounge at The Mirage is the place to be this year! Come relax after the Sunday sessions and enjoy complimentary food and drinks. This private function is a great opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals and peers including the Post|Production World Conference speakers! Tickets are $85 and are going fast.
If you plan to attend any of the FMC events at NAB- keep an eye out for the DVPA video crew. We'll be shooting interviews and highlights for future Newsflash segments.
