Website Design Standards & Top SEO Web Marketing

The most widely accepted standards for good website design is simple: visibility, accessibility and quality. Make sure your website addresses these elements, and you're on your way to making your website a success!

Good, effective website design is simple. It will utilize strong, attractive graphics that are small in size. It will limit unnecessary animation and excess “fluff” like flash intro pages. The levels and hierarchy of the pages will be simple as well, easy to navigate. The content will be quality, compelling subject matter. Any video used will be of high quality, the correct size to run flawlessly, and will compel visitors to return for more! In truth, it doesn't matter how much money you spend on developing a website… what matters is sticking to the basics! Good website design will put you in position to achieve success.

And that success will come with exposure. Implementing a top web marketing campaign is key. The first step is Search Engine Optimization (SEO), which enables potential customers or readers to FIND YOU in the search engines. Whether they are searching for “corporate video production” or “wedding videos”… if you optimize your website correctly, Google and Yahoo and the tons of other web search engines will find your page and point your new potential visitors in YOUR direction!

Optimizing effectively isn't complicated. There are a few basic rules to follow:

Identify your target keywords (search words potential visitors will type into search engines like Google or Yahoo to find you)
Repeat keywords subtly, with purpose (suggested usage 3-6 times each keyword in a one page article or blog, be careful not to exceed!)
Meta-tags should all be well-written and compelling (keywords/descriptions/titles of the elements of each and every page of the site)

Link to and from other websites (link exchanges to other relevant businesses, links to high quality informative articles)
Each of these elements contributes to the successful “crawl” of search engine Spiders. Spiders are sent out by the all-powerful search engines. They go from site to site, page to page picking up keywords and phrases of interest. The successful “crawl” is directly intertwined to good website design, and will ensure top search engine results. And we all know, you get to the top of Google or Yahoo, and you've accomplished an incredible task! You'll see record number potential customers visiting your site!
