Director's Note
As I begin my second year of leadership of the DVPA, I can't help but reflect on all that we've accomplished in the last twelve months. First of all, we've added dozens of new partnerships and discount programs. From stock footage discounts at Artbeats to training discounts like Total Training and DMTS, DVPA is continuing to accomplish its mission to “enable members to work faster, be more creative and save money!”
In 2007, we established an official Advisory Board that is dedicated to assist the DVPA in all its endeavors as the premiere digital video association. Our board members contribute content to our website and monthly newsletter, they keep us aware of the latest industry trends and they are committed to connecting us to key industry decision makers.
We‘ve also added resources like blogs from industry leaders like Adobe's Bob Donlan and DVPA founder Rod Harlan. Their in-site, as well as the variety of knowledge our other bloggers bring to the table, adds a whole new dimension to the services we provide our members. Also, we've added our News Flash Podcast. This two-minute news capsule is a great way to quickly hear and see the products and services we recommend.
Hopefully, you found this year as a DVPA member to be advantageous as a communications professional. Tell us about your experience as a DVPA member and if we publish your story we'll send you a copy of the all-new DVPA Ultimate Sampler. This is more than a $3,000 gift.
Speaking of gifts, this time of year is more than a season about gifts. It's the perfect time to thank all the people we work with and make us look good.
