Top 10 New Features and Enhancements in Adobe Audition 2.0

1) Audio mixing sends and inserts
In Adobe Audition 2.0, you can now add up to 16 sends per channel, giving you efficient, flexible techniques for mixing and monitoring your sessions. Use CPU power more efficiently by creating sends on several tracks that go to a bus with a reverb or other effects applied. Or use sends and buses to create mixes for specific purposes, such as a headphone mix for a vocalist.

2) Unlimited tracks in Multitrack View
Multitrack file input and management is simple and intuitive because Adobe Audition 2.0 gives you an unlimited capacity to mix together multilayered sessions. Add and delete tracks to fit the size of your session, and simply add more tracks as your project grows. Never worry about session time, as the time limits in Edit View and Multitrack View have been increased and are only limited by your hard drive space.

3) Analog-modeled multiband compressor
Control dynamics, adjust overall loudness, and master your finished mixes
with multiband precision.Give bass and drums punch, while allowing
your vocals to push through the entire mix.

4) Lasso tool.
One of the most powerful features of Adobe Audition 2.0
is the ability to select frequencies directly in the Spectral Frequency Display
to visually analyze, isolate, and repair audio. The new free-form Lasso tool
gives you the flexibility to make selections of any shape. The Marquee tool
can be used for quick selection of rectangular areas.

5) Spectral Pan and Phase display
Use the Spectral Pan Display to show the loudness of audio in the left and right pan fields of your audio clip. Sound over time is plotted on the x-axis, with the amplitude at various pan positions left and right (top and bottom in the graph) denoted by different colors in the display. Turn on prism mode to add a color-coded overlay of frequency values.

6) Mastering Rack in Edit View

7) Enhanced video support

8) Improved performance

9) Improveduser interface

10) Enhanced frequency
